Whereas the Bolshoi Ballet Company is a frequent visitor to the United States (its last visit was two years ago), it has not been to Canada, where the tour kicks off, since 1979.

And again the city’s best venue — Southam Hall will be made available to the Bolshoi. The hall is named after Hamilton Southam who was the founder of Canada’s National Arts Centre.
