Le Nozze di Figaro (19:00). Guest performer

06.03.2021

Austrian singer Marcus Werba performs at the largest world theatres, among which are La Scala, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Sydney Opera House and many others. His repertoire is broad and diverse: it includes around fifty parts - from baroque to operas of the XX Century. The title role in Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart, without a doubt, is his signature. Marcus Werba performed it in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Venice, Vienna, Rome, Edinburgh, Dresden, Milan, and Tokyo. His part as Figaro was called a “Comedy whirlwind” by Austrian newspaper Der Standard (12 October 2012), whereas TheOperaCritic.com considers him “certainly among today’s best possible Figaros” (8 November 2016).
At the Bolshoi Theatre, artist debuted as Figaro as well, but in another opera Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini. And just recently, February this year, he appeared on our stage as Marcello in Puccini’s La Bohème.
