Watch One Day in the Life of Our Opera Company on the Bolshoi’s Official YouTube Channel!
For the first time ever Bolshoi YouTube Channel viewers will be able to peep behind the scenes and watch the daily routine of a Bolshoi opera singer, and conductors and producers at work, as they take lessons and at rehearsals.
During the course of this three-hour-long live broadcast you will meet the scenographers, and all those who contribute to the creation of an opera production. And, of course, we have plenty of surprises in store for you! In a word, on this day, the Bolshoi Theatre Company is throwing open its doors to you, our virtual public!
One of the main characters in Opera Day Live, Tugan Sokhiev, the Bolshoi’s Music Director, will greet you, our virtual opera buffs, at the Theatre doors and conduct you, through the Theatre’s splendid auditorium, backstage. Later on you will see him at his usual job of work, as he brings the musical side of a production up to scratch prior to its première.
