Tatyana Sedunova, Lithuanian National Opera Ballet Company artistic director, sends the Bolshoi Ballet the following words of greeting:

“I am immensely happy this tour is to take place. It is the first Bolshoi Theatre Ballet Company tour to Lithuania since our Company was founded! As everyone knows, this year, Vilnius has been designated European Capital of Culture. I am quite sure the Bolshoi Theatre performances will be the most striking and memorable event of all the fixtures that are planned in connection with this program. Le Corsaire is one of the most talked about, large-scale Bolshoi Ballet productions of recent years. We know that it has been presented with success in the world’s great cultural capitals and we are delighted that the Lithuanian public will also have a chance to see it. All the more so because — for all the great number of well known classical titles in our repertoire, Le Corsaire is not among them”.
