2012 — prizewinner at the Placido Domingo’s Operalia Competition (Beijing, 3rd prize) and at the II International Competition of the Savonlinna Opera Festival (Finland, 2nd prize).

Biography

Currently, Ms. Karyazina is a member of the soloist ensemble at the Hamburg State Opera where she has appeared among other roles as Federica in Luisa Miller, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Olga in Eugene Onegin, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, Kontschakowna in Prince Igor, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Pauline in Pique Dame and Verdi’s Messa da Requiem.

Ms. Karyazina was born in Moscow. She graduated from the Russian Academy of the Theatrical Arts (2003-2008) and Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center in Moscow (2010-2012). In 2010 she became a member of the Young Artist Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre, where her roles have included Dunyasha (The Tsar’s Bride), Princess Clarissa (The Love for Three Oranges) and Fortune Teller (The Fiery Angel). In 2013-2015 he joined the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme. During this time her roles at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden included Mercédès (Carmen), Rosette (Manon), Voice of an Unborn Child (Die Frau ohne Schatten), Flora Bervoix (La traviata), Madrigal Singer (Manon Lescaut), Léonor (La Favorite Act I, JPYAP summer performance), Maddalena (Rigoletto) and Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte).
