Biography

Born in Berdsk (Novosibirsk Region). Graduated from the Novosibirsk State Music College and from the Mikhail Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory (V. Prudnik’s class). In 2011-15 he studied at the Victor Popov Academy of Choral Art (classes of Dmitry Vdovin and Svetlana Nesterenko).

In 2013, Timofei Dubovitsky made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre as A vendor of pets in Strauss’ Die Rosenkavalier (directed by Stephen Lawless, conductor Vassily Sinaisky).
Participated in concert performances of Strauss’ Salome (conductor Vladimir Yurovsky, 2014), Rossini’s Semiramida (conducted by Alberto Zedda, 2015), and Thomas’ Hamlet (conductor Benjamin Pionnier, 2015) at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.

In season 2017/18 he became ensemble member of the NOVAT (Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre), where he has for example sung Cassio (Verdi’s Otello), Canio (Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci), Pretendor (Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov), Albert (Rachmaninov’s The Miserly Knight).
He also took part in the production of Bizet’s Carmen (as Jose) on the stage of the Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

In 2018, he joined the Ural Opera Ballet (Ekaterinburg State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet). His repertoire there includes the roles of Prince (Dvořák’s Rusaka) and Tuzenbach (Péter Eötvös’s Three Sisters new production, directed by Christopher Alden, conductor Oliver von Dohnányi).

In 2019 - 2022, a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.
