Biography
In 2002 won the First Prize and the Audience Prize at Plàcido Domingo’s Operalia Competition; since that she has been appearing in the performances of the most distinguished directors and conductors at the world’s leading venues (the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Scottish Opera, the Deutsche Oper and the Berlin State Opera, the Teatro la Fenice in Venice, Verona, the Metropolitan Opera, Amsterdam, Vienna, the Aix-en-Provence Festival, the Teatro San Carlo, Hong Kong, Stockholm, the Teatro alla Scala, Theatre de Champs Élysées, Buenos Aires, Hamburg, Beijing, Monaco). Her repertoire includes the works of the great composers of the18th and 19th centuries; her ability to sing belcanto is best revealed in the operas by Verdi and Puccini, particularly in the roles of Mimi in La bohème, Leonora in Il Trovatore and Violetta in La traviata.Her recent engagements include La bohème, Don Giovanni, Turandot, Il trovatore, La demenza di Tito, La traviata, Simon Boccanegra, Falstaff, Maria Stuarda, Otello, Norma, Viaggio a Reìms, Pagliacci. She also sang with the tenor Lawrence Brownlee at the New Year Concert 2014 at the Teatro la Fenice in Venice, conducted by Diego Matheuz and broadcast worldwide by Rai1.
