Анна Налбандянц

Biography

Graduated from the Minsk Musical Glinka School in 2008, and the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Irina Bogacheva) in 2013.

Since 2014, she has been a guest soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre, where she debuted as Gerda in the new production of Banevich’s Story of Kai and Gerda. In 2015, she performed there Barbarina in the new production of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. She has also participated in several concerts at the Beethoven Hall (musical director: Semyon Skigin) as a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Young Artists Opera Program.

In October 2015, she underwent a traineeship at the Monte Carlo Opera Academy and performed in the gala concert at the Garnier Hall of the Monte Carlo Opera. In 2016, she made her debut as Anna in Verdi’s Nabucco at the opening of the opera season of the Monte Carlo Opera and Ballet Theatre at the Grimaldi Forum.

Since 2015, she was a trainee, since 2017 – a soloist with the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Her repertoire there includes soprano parts in the operas Die Zauberflöte by Mozart (Pamina), Cinderella by Boris Asafyev (title part), La Bohème by Puccini (Musetta), L’elisir d’amore by Donizetti (Giannetta), La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi (Annina), Rusalka by Dvořák (The Second Wood Nymph), and Hansel and Gretel by Humperdink (The Sleep Fairy). She also performs vocal parts in the ballets Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness by Nacho Duato and Spartacus by Aram Khachaturyan.

In 2018, she made her debut as Mimì in the opening night of Puccini’s La Bohème at the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of Republic of Belarus.
