Biography
Graduated from the Ballet department of the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art in Vilnius, Lithuania. After graduation worked in the Lithuanian Opera and Ballet Theatre, later obtained her diploma at the Ballet-Master faculty of the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow.Was a leading dancer of the Russian Chamber Ballet “Moscow”. Her latest stage works include My Little Garden, or The Art of Decoupage (2009); Vera Petrovna in A. Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya (2010, the Mossovet State Academic Theatre, directed by A. Konchalovsky); Reminiscence in A. Chekhov’s The Three Sisters (2012, the Mossovet Theatre, directed by A. Konchalovsky); Lord Byron’s Cain (2012, The School of the Art of Drama); Anita in L. Petrushevskaya’s The Square Tango (2013, The Meyerhold Theatre Centre).
Currently teaching in the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS). Worked as a choreographer and director of contortion scenes in numerous musical and drama theatres, in cinema and television, including Don Juan, Mozart and Salieri, The Malorossia Songs, Salome, The Stone Angel, Cain, The Fisher and His Soul, The Cherry Orchard at the School of the Art of Drama; The Beatles’ Girls, The Duck Hunt, The One Who Receives The Slaps, The Violin, or A Bit Nervously at the Moscow Art Theatre; Dances at the Harvest Festival, Red, Ulysses, The Gift, The Modern Idyll, Ruslan and Lyudmila at the Pyotr Fomenko Theatre. Worked as a contortion assistant to Andrei Konchalovsky at the Mossovet Theatre in the productions of Boris Godunov, Oedipus at Colonus, The Taming of the Shrew; also in Uncle Vanya and The Three Sisters at the Mossovet; in A Mad Summer Night’s Dream, Reflection or True, A Promise at Dawn at the Pushkin Drama Theatre. Staged diploma productions at the Russian University of Theatre Arts: Swing dreams, The Outcomes of Introductions, A Rehearsal. Inside, In Memory of That Non-Meeting; Ich suche F, The House of Bernarda Alba. At the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre she worked in the productions of The Operetta Night, Cherubini’s Médée and Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto.
An accomplished martial artist, four-time European champion in Tai Chi Chuan, nine-time World Champion.
