Biography

Born in Moscow, 1978.
Graduated Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (teacher: Prof. Boris Tevlin). Participated in master classes by Prof. Kuno Areng (Estonia) and Prof. Eric Ericson (Sweden).

Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Chamber Choir of the Moscow Conservaroty, Associate Professor at the Contemporary Choral Performing Art Department.

Director Choirmaster, of a master-class The National Youth Chorus of Russia’s Conservatories. Conductor at the Lenkom Moscow Theater.
Chief Guest Conductor of the Educational Bridge Project Festival Choir in Boston (USA); Guest Conductor of the Taipai Philarmonic Chorus (Taiwan).

Artistic Director of the Moscow Conservatory’s Autumn Choral Festival and International Open Festival of Arts Dedicated to the Victory Day.

Since December 2013 Alexander Solovyev – Dean of the Office for Foreign Students Affairs of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
Since Janury 2016 Artistic Director of the State Chorus of Tula.
Since September 2016 Artistic Director of the Concert Chorus of State Institute under Alfred Shnittke, professor.

In 2016 Alexander Solovyev was awarded of the Prize of the Government of Moscow in the field of literature and the arts. He also holds the Certificate of Merit for Strengthening the unity of Orthodox peoples from the International Foundation for the Unity of Orthodox Christian Nations and the title of “Master of Choir” from the Association of Choir Directors of Croatia of which he is an Honorary Member.
Since 2017 Alexander Solovyev – professor of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

There is mainly contemporary music within the circle of Alexander Solov’yev’s creative interests.
