Biography
Born in Moscow.In 1983, she graduated from the Moscow 1905 Arts School; in 1990 - from the Moscow State Surikov Arts Institute (studio of Mikhail Kurilko), receiving the gold medal from the Academy of Arts for her degree work (stage and costume design for King Lear).
She has worked with many renowned stage directors, among them Pyotr Fomenko, Mark Zakharov, Konstantin Raikin.
She has collaborated with theatres such as the Moscow Chekhov Artistic Academic Theatre, Fomenkoґs Studio, The Satirikon, Lenkom, The Vakhtangov Theatre, The Pushkin Theatre, The Et Cetera Theatre and La Comédie-Française (Paris) .
Her work in opera includes The Queen of Spades (Narodni Divadlo Opera, Prague), Falstaff (Theater Lübeck, Germany and NDM/Národní divadlo moravskoslezské in Ostrava, , Czech republic), Die Fledermaus, Don Juan, Khovanshchina, The Queen of Spades, Oedipus Rex and Bluebeard's Castle (Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre, Moscow), La Traviata, Pagliacci and Cavalleria Rusticana (New Opera, Moscow), The Nose, Jenůfa, The Brothers Karamazov, Dead Souls (Maryinsky Theatre, Saint-Petersburg), and Der fliegende Holländer (Mikhailovsky Theatre, Saint-Petersburg).
At the Bolshoi Theatre she designed costumes for The Gambler (2000); The Snow Maiden (2002); Eugene Onegin (2006); Prince Igor (2013); Katerina Izmailova (2016).
