It's no wonder that one of the greatest ballet artists in history, who has lived all his life on display, a straightforward and wild dancer provokes to explore the unthinkable turns of his fate, his limitless imagination and the shades of his passionate nature. All these are excellent terms for numerous biographies (there are books and articles, documentaries, series of portraits and even a novel). Now among them there will be a ballet - not an easy genre for biopics, but the main passion and the deed of our hero's life.

Nureyev is onstage December 9 -10. Bolshoi Ballet (follow the links to see the cast: the first evening, the second evning) pays tribute to the memory of Rudolf Nureyev.
