An award was established at the end of 2020 based on the long-term collaboration between the Bolshoi Theatre and Credit Suisse bank, and it aims to support prominent young talents. Bekhzod Davronov, tenor of the Bolshoi Opera Company, became the first recipient. On 13 December, right before the start of Traviata by G. Verdi (Historical Stage) Vladimir Urin, General Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, presented him the award.

However, lockdown made us postpone this event, and now it is destined to illuminate the light over dreary November days.Don Quixote will open a festival of iconic in the career of Vladimir Vasiliev ballets on 15 November. After, Spartacus (17 November) and Nutcracker (18 November) will be shown. Final chord – multi-genre performance And The Eternal Light Will Shine of Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre – will take place on 22 November.

Denis Savin is promoted from the Leading Soloist to Premier, Olga Marchenkova — from the First Soloist to the Leading Soloist, Egor Gerashchenko — from the Artist to the First Soloist.

Bolshoi Theatre has reached its first milestone on the way to expansion within digital space. It received YouTube Silver Play Button and became the first theatre-winner in Russia. More than 450 thousands of opera, ballet and classical music fans are now subscribed to the channel from all over the world. This is 10 times more than it was at the beginning of 2020.

Leading soloist Alyona Kovaleva and Principal Dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre, Artemy Belyakov, have been awarded with Léonide Massine Prize. Ceremony is held annually in Positano (Italy) and named after the famous Russian choreographer, so well-known in the West. His bright career started at the Bolshoi at the dawn of the XX Century.
